Anxiety and stress is a real issue for kids, even babies and toddlers. Anxiety in children is expected and normal at spectific times in development. It is a problem that can begin in early childhood and has devastating effects on a young person’s life.

Anxiety attacks taking part in children, while dangerous, can affect your child’s natural activities, thinking, decision-making knack, perceptions of the natural environment, learning and concentration. Symptoms and anxiety disorders can appear in kids at an early age but they are often overlooked. Anxiety is commonly related having a sense of intense worry, mostly over trivial factors, or circumstances that can’t be changed or controlled.

The Anxiety-Free Child Program was created by anxiety expert Rich Presta exclusively for use with children who suffer from anxiety, excessive worrying, unrealistic fears and phobias. It has been specially designed with the help of child psychologists, therapists, physicians and other professionals to ensure that treating the child’s anxiety is the main focus of the course.

The program provides you as a parent with the knowledge you need to understand and help heal your child’s anxiety. The Anxiety-Free Child Program does a wonderful job of empowering parents of anxious children with the knowledge and practical advice they need to help their child eliminate the negative thoughts and feelings that can be so damaging to a young person’s life. Perhaps the best thing about the Anxiety-Free Child Program is that there is no need for anxiety medications that can be extremely harmful to children. If you would like more information on this product, kindly click on the image below.

As you all already know, we are sharing about milk powder experiences and also asking for your feedback on this matter, as we are new parents trying out on infant formula for babies, and need extra opinion to help validate our decisions. Any feedback would definitely help us.

Recently, a friend of ours recommended us to a new pack Japanese formula – Morinaga. From our findings, this is not a new brand but has been in the market for more than 30 years and recently launched their new packaging! Morinaga Milk Formula product comes from a renowned Japanese company and in Malaysia; it has 3 types of milk formula, namely:

1. Morinaga BF Infant Milk Formula (below 12 months)
2. Morinaga Chil Mill Growing Up Milk Formula (above 12 months).
3. Morinaga NL33 – a milk based non lactose formula

As our baby daughter, Vicky is now weaning from my (Joanne’s) breast milk, we are looking for a suitable substitute, some formulation that is closes to mother’s milk. For your information, we are not promoting it commercially or recommending it to parents but just sharing our own experiences and soliciting some feedbacks on what we should look out for in Infant Milk Formulas. Further to that, as parents who work from home, Vincent and I (Joanne) is thankful that OZ Marketing is providing us some guidance and some complimentary milk to assist us.

Therefore, whatever sharing which we are doing, is non-commercial, and it is meant to solicit help and advice from you older parents, and to share to the younger parents about infant and milk powder, from a parent, to another parent.

Coming back to our point of sharing about Milk formulas, being the ever overly caring parents that we are, Vincent actually took some picture of our baby daughter Vicky’s shit (pardon the word.. some of you prefer “stool”… hahaha..) before and after one week consuming Morinaga BF Infant formula, which can be viewed at our review blog right here.

From what we know, most infant formulas profess that theirs are the one closes to mother’s milk (breast milk). Being a new mother, I cannot comment on the rest but as a consumer and parent, we would agree with Morinaga after tested it personally. From what we gather, the stool (or shit) from Vicky is as soft as the stool from breast milk, and of course, the color is more greenish compared to the breast milk stool (which is yellowish, which you can see from the picture in the blog post), which is pretty normal. Furthermore, our baby Vicky did not have any constipation problem as cautioned by some of mothers when switched to Morinaga.

Please share with us on your experience on milk formulas (whether in terms of infant formula as well as toddler/growing up milk formula) so that we can learn more and share with other NextGenParents for them to make a more educated and better decision in their purchase of milk powders for their lovely children.
The Morinaga new pack consist of 2 types: BF Infant Formula (0-12months) as well as the new Morinaga Chil-mil, a growing-up formula for babies 1year and above. The new Morinaga formulas are improved with nutritional contain especially Protein and Nucelotides, as one of the most nutritional component in their products.

In the remaining 2 weeks, since we are also learning about milk powders and following Vicky’s development as she begins to consume infant formula, we will be researching and sharing with you guys, our findings, our experiences, Vicky’s development and also the do’s and don’ts in the area of infant and toddler formula feeding… not to mention, the different SHIT !!! (or Stew…. Hahaha… chill guys…)

Coming back to our point of sharing about Milk formulas, being the ever overly caring parents that we are, Vincent actually took some picture of our baby daughter Vicky’s shit (pardon the word.. some of you prefer “stool”… hahaha..) before and after one week consuming Morinaga BF Infant formula, which can be viewed at our review blog at http://www.nextgenparenting.com/review (which coincidentally, you guys can actually check out Vincent’s review on the Tolly Joy Electric Breast Pump on himself… LOL.. hahahaha… which also revealed his red nipples after hard suction from the breast pump!)

From what we know, most infant formulas profess that theirs are the one closes to mother’s milk (breast milk). Being a new mother, I cannot comment on the rest but as a consumer and parent, we would agree with Morinaga after tested it personally. From what we gather, the

As a first time mother to a newborn baby, there is a lot of things that I need to learn and surely I want the best for my child. Comfort is the upmost priority as we want her to get uninterupted sleep. We found out that MamyPoko is the best diaper in the market and as you may have read my husband’s post, we were given samples of MamyPoko Newborn Diaper to try out.

MamyPoko’s newborn diapers comes with a function which they call “Poo-Poo Pocket”. It traps Vicky’s stool so that it does not spread, it works wonders as newborn’s stool is watery and pastey. Through the Poo-Poo Pocket I am also able to see if she has pass motion without needing to open her diaper. At the rear of the diaper there is also a stool guard to prevent back leakage of stools and urine.

Another special feature is that when worn, the diaper does not cover Vicky’s navel area therefore protecting the area allowing faster healing. She has no problems with nappy rash while wearing MamyPoko diapers which is great.

MamyPoko may cost a little higher than other diapers then again, what is spending a little more for the comfort of the child and a good night’s sleep?

Sofy is a product by Uni-Charm especially for women. Sofy is the No 1 brand in Japan.

I remember during school days when it was that “time” of the month, when we stand to greet a teacher or to go somewhere, we will ask our friend “Got anything, ah?” or “Bocor or not?’. Now with Sofy, there is no need to ask these questions or wonder if there is any leakage because Sofy Body Fit is designed to prevent leakage as it fits to your body and absorbs quickly.

I just delivered my baby girl last week and I used Sofy Body Fit 35 cm. Although it says it is for night use, it can also be used during the day. As after delivery, blood flow is quite heavy and using Sofy gives me great comfort and peace of mind when I was in the hospital.

Most women are very loyal to the sanitary brand that they use and the most important element for them is comfort. For some it is cost, there are other brands out there which are cheaper compared to Sofy however, I would pay the little extra not only more comfort but also for less work. Why I say less work is because without leakage, one will not need to wash or even buy new bed sheets because of blood stain and in turn paying a little more saves even more; as the saying goes “Pay more for less”.

As we approach MamyPoko, we are greeted by really nice people and their marketing executives, Mr Chua and Ai Nah. They were even kind enough to straight away give us a few samples for our expected newborn, 2 months ago. They even gave us Sofy for Joanne (my wife) to use as nursing pads for newly delivered mothers who may have episiotomies (which will be reviewed by Joanne in another post in this review section of NextGenParenting website.)

That was before Victoria was born. And immediately after she was born, we put MamyPoko’s NewBorn baby diapers to the test with our daughter.

Here is our finding.

1. The diapers were easy to be opened to lay it out for the baby’s bottom to rest on it.

2. The flaps to wrap the baby was not sticky but effective, that means, no matter how many times you open and close the flaps of the diapers, it will still function without wear and tear.

3. The absorption rate of the diapers of the urin and liquid urea was high, and it allows our baby Victoria to be comfortable even at some times we forgot to change her diapers.

Mamy Poko, or its distribution company, Uni-Charm Corporation Sdn Bhd was kind enough to furnish is with a full pack of 52 diapers for Newborn. Typically, a newborn baby will be using at least 3 diapers per day, therefore, a pack of newborn diapers will last about 16 to 18 days.

It is known fact that MamyPoko is a bit more pricey than others, but with the comfort and also peace of mind that allows us, parents, (Joanne and me), to be free and do more work from home through the Internet and doing reviews (like this one), I believe that it is worth the premium price which actually was returned to us in the form of time.

Kudos MamyPoko!
